Description
A colour photographic print showing a view of a house. This photograph was taken on the occasion of a bus tour during the Katikati school jubilee. This house was built for one of Vesey Stewart’s first settlers. It is an L shaped house and the rooms on the verandah on the left wing were single bedrooms for the farming cadets that G.V. Stewart was anxious to bring out from England and Ireland. In ink on reverse ‘Rosalie Smith’s home Oct 91'. This house is registered with Heritage NZ in the Category II.
