Description
A baby pink nylon dress with embossed pattern, lined with pink taffeta. The dress is full length and is made up of six panels. The middle front and back panels form the neckline. The side panels curve part way up the sleeves. The dress has a scooped neckline with long zip down the back. The dress has a matching clutch.

This dress was worn by Murielle Kaye (nee Hamilton) (1930-2021). Murielle was born in New Plymouth and in 1964 settled in Tauranga with her husband Jim and three young children. Murielle was very interested in fashion and dressed carefully. She was employed by ‘Sugar and Spice’ clothing manufacturers in Cameron Road and by Lindsay’s Fashions, which was in the Red Square, Spring Street, Tauranga. Every week Murielle purchased the Woman’s Weekly and the magazine was a source of inspiration for the clothing she sewed for her family and herself.
