Description
A ten sided cake plate with a scene of a cottage and a man and a women out front standing by a river. An old man is sitting on a wooden seat. There are dots around the edge and handles on each side. Gold printing reads: "With compliments from T A Baikie, Baker and Grocer, The Strand, Tauranga". 'Made in Germany' is printed on the reverse. Mr Thomas A. Baikie purchased The Strand business from Mr M. H. Harnett in November 1929 and sold it to Mr T. G. Denman in January 1933.
