Description
A black and white photograph of a boat identified as the “Moana”. The boat was used for game fishing and has three swordfish hanging off the side. The hull appears to be that of a launch but there is a mast and sails. There is several feet of foredeck and enclosed cabin and an open cockpit. Two men are standing on the deck. The boat was owned by Mr Hunter who had a joinery factory in Tauranga. In this image the “Moana” is moored at South East Bay, Tuhua (Mayor Island).
