Description
A black and white photograph showing a group of Boy Scouts from the Kereone Scout Pack, Morrinsville on a visit to Tauranga standing by the old ‘Memorial Gates’ at Gate Pa. A gun is inset into one of the gate posts and Armstrong Gun shells are on top of the posts. Six boys are fully or partly visible but most of the right hand half of the image is either faded or was underexposed. The Scouts are in uniform, lemon squeezer style khaki felt hats, shirts and shorts, scarf with toggle (described in the past as a neckerchief) and either plain or school socks and boots.
