Description
A colour photograph taken at the 2010 Tauranga National Jazz Festival. It features the steam locomotive number 1271 which drew several vintage carriages on two alternative trips. One to the coast past Te Puke and the other to Te Puna and return. Jazz musicians played for the passengers and food was served. The train turning a corner at a road crossing as the boom is down. On the front of the locomotive there is a large circular sign reading “City of Tauranga National Jazz Festival Jazz Steam Train”.
