Description
A colour photograph taken at the 2010 Tauranga National Jazz Festival. It features the steam locomotive number 1271 which drew several vintage carriages on two alternative trips. One to the coast past Te Puke and the other to Te Puna and return. Jazz musicians played for the passengers and food was served. This image shows one of the red carriages and the travellers disembarking at a station (probably Otumoetai).
