A colour glass plate negative showing the old New Brighton Pier (demolished in 1965) and part of the New Brighton War Memorial on the right of the frame.
This glass plate negative is part of the Robert Gale Photographic Collection. Robert and his family moved to Tauranga in the early 1960s and he taught at Merivale School until retirement.
