Description
A white christening gown. The gown has a drawstring at the waist and neck. There is an v insert of homemade tatting on the front bodice. There is also nine inset panels of tatting on the skirt each of which are in between five pintucks. There is a plain hem at the bottom and a large opening at the back with no buttons or studs.

At the time of donation it was recorded that the gown had been used by four generations of the Fox family, with the gown dating to 1873.
