Description
A plate with gold rim and flower design round top edge. Picture of a man eating bread, a gun by his side. "Here with a loaf of bread beneath the row, a muttered curse - but ne'er a whine and thou beside me, singing in the wilderness. The wilderness is Paradise now". Made by the girls of Staffordshire during the winter of 1917/18 when the 'Boys' were in the trenches fighting for liberty and civilisation.
