Description
A brown ovoid-shaped bakelite container with two pairs of red toothed, angled honing stones on the inside and "CAPSTAN / QUIKSTROP" on the lid. A string with a ball stop on one end and a loop at the other is normally threaded through the centre of the container. A razor blade would be enclosed in the case, the looped end of the string would be secured over a knob or hook and then the container is drawn up and down the string as it is held taught.
